I'm Amber
Welcome to my little nook of the internet.
I'm so glad you're here.
A few things about me...
family
-
I’ve been married to Andrew for 15 years.

-
Andrew and I have 4 kids, I birthed the oldest two in a hospital and my youngest two in our home in an inflatable swimming pool (on purpose!) As you get to know me, you’ll find I’m what my friends lovingly call, a little bit crunchy.

-
I taught middle school math and english for 4 years after graduating from Western Carolina University and now I stay at home & homeschool my 4 children.

-
We were an active foster family for 2 years and it changed us forever. We are rich with people who weren't born into our family but intentionally knit into our family.
fun facts
-
We had a backyard farm for a few years. We had alpacas, dogs, goats, bunnies, and chickens, and now we just have the chickens and some really special dogs.

-
I’m on staff at my church in Greensboro, NC. I love my job of coordinating, caring for, and serving alongside our volunteer teams.

-
I’ve been into strength training for the last 8 years but recently registered for a half marathon and am currently learning to love running.

-
I’m a Nascar fan. I actually grew up on the local race track in Orlando, FL & Concord, NC where my Dad raced and boiled peanuts were a main food group.

-
When I was 15 years old, I sewed a needle through my pointer finger with my sewing machine and decided in the ER that God was NOT calling me to create adorable jean handbags out of worn out jean bottoms.

faith
-
I became a Christian and was baptized when I was 8 years old, but didn’t fully surrender my life to the Lord until I was a sophomore in college (more details on that here.)

-
I have a passion for teaching God’s word. After years of speaking and teaching the bible through expositional teaching and leading other studies, my passion has grown specifically for teaching women HOW to study the bible for themselves.
