I Believe...

(a list of the faith statements that I hold most dear)

… the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man as well as a perfect treasure of divine instruction(2 Timothy 3:15-17)

… There is one and only one living true God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-2)

… We were created in God’s image to know Him and have a relationship with Him. However, we willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death, and judgement entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin. (Genesis 1:26-30)

… In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. I believe He was fully God who made Himself fully man.(Matthew 1:18-23)

… We are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repentance, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. It is not through works that we are saved, but through grace. (1 John 1:6-2:11)

… A life surrendered to God as Lord of our lives changes us and brings fruit in our lives. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches, we are called to be rooted to Him, to be in Him, and to have a relationship with Him. (John 15)

… In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who convicts, restores, comforts, reveals, and empowers the believer in his/her walk. (John 14:16-17)

… Christianity is the faith of enlightenment and intelligence. In Jesus Christ abide all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. All sound learning is, therefore, a part of our Christian heritage. (Psalm 19:7-14, Ephesians 4:11-16)
