I don't have what it takes

“I can’t do it anymore”⁣

“I wasn’t made for this”⁣

“I don’t have what it takes”⁣

In the face of whatever God is calling you to do each day , it’s so easy to focus on our inabilities, our inadequacies, our weaknesses ... we feel unable to complete the task before us and that can be paralyzing. Today, I want to point you to this truth - - ⁣

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”⁣

- 2 Corinthians 12:9 ⁣

In a broken world that shouts:⁣

“You’ve got this”⁣

“You are enough”⁣

“You are strong” ⁣

I want to point your heart to the truths of the gospel that will stand in the gap that those lies create...⁣

YOU are not enough, YOU are not able, YOU don’t have it all together on your own but the Creator of the Universe does & He loves you enough to unleash His GRACE on YOU through the death of His son. God gives you & I more than we can handle every single day... as a way to point our wayward hearts back into right fellowship with Him and true worship of HIS holiness. (spoiler alert: THAT is what we were created for)⁣

Don’t focus on your weaknesses and don’t allow the enemy to define you by those inadequacies so that you become paralyzed by them to the point that you’re incapable of doing God’s work. BUT don’t ignore your weaknesses either. Acknowledge your inabilities, identify the areas in your life that are broken and declare your desperate need for a Savior. See your weaknesses through the lens of exactly what they are... opportunities for Christ to shine brighter in you to a watching world that needs Him.

Make a list of your weaknesses and pray for God to reveal His power to you and others through your weaknesses.
